St Louis Blues -- WC Handy
Introduction
St Louis Blues was the very first song I learned from the Mel Bay method book when I was 8 years old. It was just a couple of years ago when I discovered Chet Atkins had recorded a finger style arrangement, which I loved right off the bat. I have simplified the arrangement so that it is easier for me to remember the different sections. This is a middle intermediate song as there are a couple of awkward hand positions in the last 4 bars, upper position sequences and some fast position changes are required to pull this one off. It's a great song.
