All of Me -- Marks & Simons

Introduction

All of Me is a number that was written by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons in 1931. The song was an overnight sensation. Within weeks of the song being recorded, Louis Armstrong had a rendition on the charts alongside the original recording. The song was recorded by a number of artists, has been featured in films, and remains widely recognized today.

The current arrangement is for advanced players. The song has a walking bass-line throughout the first two verses, followed by a middle section played with a stride-style bass, most of the song is played in upper positions and requires some rapid position changes. Sure is a lot of fun once you get it down.
